Randy, we have plans to switch our installer software in the near future, but until then we don't control over certain parts of the install routine. Some of those include the IIS prerequisites checks, where failure of the checks returns a less than informative message.

It would be very handy if the installer could return information why an installation was unsuccessful. Currently, if an installation fails, the user is simply told that the installation was unsuccessful, but not given any sort of reason why.
Another suggestion would to be to package a small .EXE which would check the Windows version, and test that the correct prerequisites are installed.
