EDIFACT and X.400 (2 replies)
X400
To the best of our knowledge, X400 is a messaging protocol - https://www.mercoline.de/en/edi/edi-guidelines/edi-message-protocols/
IMan is not able to connect natively with X400 (or AS2) - You need to have a service which downloads & uploads data to the VAN.
EDIFACT
https://www.edi-plus.com/resources/message-formats/edifact/
Yes we can, but IMan doesn't have anything which is able to auto-magically interpret the fields within an EDIFACT (or most EDI formats) file.
With IMan you can use an Ordered hierarchical CSV format, where the separator is a plus (+) character.
You would need to manually name these fields, and there will be instances where you need to parse some of the field data to extract values from it.
For example the example from the page has several values where there is a colon separator. You would need to parse these separately in a Map transform to extract those three values (we can provide you with a function for doing this).
Hope this helps.
In addition we've successfully integrated a number of EDI customers, both here in the UK (see Case Study) and in North America; specifically with EDIFACT.
Is the Latest version of Iman able to handle Edifact X400 edi transactions?
