Errors on connectors (8 replies)
Kirby, a few things:
- First of all you should just check that you have all the windows pre-requisites installed.
- The specific issue that you're receiving is to do with the Realisable Data/Preview service. Is this started?
If this service is starting, but then stops review the Windows Application Event Log.
- If you are getting this error and you're trying to connect to Sage300, have you done the setup correctly?
- You mention a data connector gives you a different error? What is that?
If you are new I recommend you working through the Quick Start guide, then working onto a training guide (such as the Sage300 Training Guide).
Thanks
thanks. I'll check on all of those settings. I think there may be a couple we don't have turned on.
the message is the same. It's just the program that's failing. And we get it when trying to test the DB connection, too
Do you have all three Realisable services started?
From the Admin Console, what happens if you press Test on the Data Service?
I fixed the settings so they exactly matched that web page and restarted the server and it worked. briefly.
Now I'm getting that message again. Is there a default number of connections in the IIS setup somewhere and it's rejecting because that's exceeded? I'm not sure how that would be because iman is the only thing running on this server
hmm...the preview service keeps turning itself off. I restarted it and it's off again.
it appears to happen when I try to preview the system connector. I get the following error and then the preview service stop
Check the Windows Application Event log.
Terminating exceptions will be logged there.
Client had old version of Sage300 workstation installed.
Need to update Sage300 client AND need to update IMan.
We're getting these errors when trying to open either a data or system connector in Iman.
anyone had these or have any suggestions? I've been searching online and get lots of SQL Server results that say it may be the firewall, but it was working and then stopped.
we're fairly new to iman and having a bit of trouble getting it to work properly right now
thanks,
KIrby
