Adding & Linking Records to a Custom Entity (7 replies)

Arline, I think you need to:
a. Remove the hierarchy; as you don't need this for the dqProductReg entries.
b. Create the Person Record, and map an empty field onto pers_personid; this will allow you to catch the id assigned to any created person records.
When mapping the fields, set the logkey on each of the dqProductReg fields to a value (starting from 20). This will allow the fields to flow through the connector.
c. Immediately after, you want to add another CRM connector, which will create the dqProductReg entry(s). Map the fields accordingly.
Thanks for this- I must be getting close here. When I refresh the Product Registration transform following the Person transform, the previewed data looks right but it's still not mapping into Sage CRM properly. I'm seeing this error. What's invalid?
2 questions at the moment:
1. I'm seeing consistent complaints from IMAN about an identifier for the Product Registration. I do have a blank field mapped for ProductRegistrationId (as I will not have that value at the time of import). IMAN will basically create the product record with the product id, but will also show this error. How could I fix this?
Error whilst processing transaction [dqproductreg].The record will be discarded. Error - [The identifier on record [dqproductreg] is missing or empty.]
2. So when there are multiple products per record, since I ditched the hierarchy transform, do I create a Sage CRM transform for each Product, taking care to add the logkey for each product's fields?
Thanks in advance. 🙂
Still having this issue - I can create the person record, but not the product record. The transformation fails at that point with the following message:
Error whilst processing transaction [dqproductreg].The record will be discarded. Error - [The identifier on record [dqproductreg] is missing or empty.]
Any advice?
I have a problem importing to a Sage CRM custom entity and I’m not sure if it’s me or IMAN. Maybe you can shed light.
So the goal is to hierarchize these things:
1. Person
2. Products Registered. (this is the custom entity)
I wasn’t able to do this with one single Sage CRM connector, probably b/c it’s a custom entity. So I made a second connector for Products:
Here’s my Product connector:
I have the Person connector working beautifully. But IMAN is not happy with the product update, I think maybe an issue with unique ID. It seems to want to map both “Record” and “Product entities within the Sage CRM connector to insert products.
Here’s how my screen is looking. See that imanpkey0? I realize it’s not happy about that.
I tried mapping TransactionId “Record” field “PersonId” to the dqProductReg field dqpr_pers_personid thinking maybe that would work but no dice.
This error makes sense but I just don’t know how to get around it:
Do I somehow have to re-hierarchize before I do the Sage CRM Product connector?
I’m just feeling a bit stumped.
