IMan Service & IIS App POOL Permissions

This section describes the access required by the IMan services & IIS Application Pool.

IIS Application Pool

When designing integrations the Read transforms require access to the data source to retrieve the data sources’ schema information. This schema retrieval is currently performed within the IMan IIS Application Pool and as such it requires access to the file/database being queried.

Data Preview & Scheduler Services

The data preview and scheduler services are closely aligned in terms of security. Both the data preview and the scheduler services execute either part of an integration or an entire integration from end-to-end and as such require access to any remote or local based resource requiring windows based authentication.

Log Service

The log service must have write access to the IMan database to write log entries.

IMan Database Security

All three IMan services and the IIS AppPool all require read and write access to the IMan database.
